All of these can be found at thrift stores, in closets or on Amazon. We hope you have fun creating your characters costume. Remember this is 1899 and things fit much differently than modern clothing.
KEEP RECEIPTS All costumes are tentative until approved by Mrs. Day. Some items may need to be returned. You are welcome to text or email Mrs. Day with pictures.
STEP ONE : CHOOSE A STYLE
CHOICE ONE--OVERALLS. Keep away from modern cuts and styles. They also need to be brown, grey, black or navy blue.
CHOICE TWO--KNICKERS. Keep away from modern cuts and styles. They also need to be brown, grey, black or navy blue. Textures and patterns are terrific. Tweed, herribone, some plaids, cordoroy.
CHOICE THREE--PANTS. Keep away from modern cuts and styles. They also need to be brown, grey, black or navy blue. Textures and patterns are terrific. Tweed, herribone, some plaids, cordoroy.
CHOICE FOUR--SKIRTS Several girls are welcome to dress as girls. We would love this. If this is your character choice come speak with Mrs. Day ASAP because we are limited with this choice and it requires a bit more--and perhaps some sewing.
STEP TWO CHOOSE COLORS Main costume : Stick with Earth tones—browns, blacks and grey Each Burough is assigned a color. This color is for a pop of color only. Pattern on a shirt, stripes on socks, bandana, etc.

STEP THREE LAYERS AND TEXTURES These costumes look best with layers. Also textures look great from stage and give them authenticity.
