BEHS Theatre Department FROZEN JR. ON STAGE Theatre Camp 2019
BEHS Theatre Department is proud to offer our forth ON STAGE Theatre Camp for children going into grades 4th-9th during the 19/20 school year! Step into a world of creative play and fantastical journeys as participants use their imaginations to discover the magical world of Arendelle in Frozen Jr!
This is one inspiring and fun summer you won't want to miss!
Overview
Duration:
Camp for grades 4th-9th goes from June 10th-15th from 8:30-11:30 am
Location:
Box Elder High School Auditorium and Little Theater
Cost:
$105
Drop-off/Pick-up:
In the mornings, you may drop off your children as early as 8:20 am and you have until 8:30 am to complete the drop-off.
You may pick up your child at 11:30 am and no later than 11:40 am.
What to Expect at Camp
Let's perform ON STAGE! Engage in a full theatrical process culminating with Frozen Jr. on a professional stage. Build confidence as you work with your ensemble on all different aspects of a production.
This camp includes:
- 6 days (18 hours) of instruction in acting, singing and dancing by trained professionals and student mentors.
-Camp t-shirt
-Performance t-shirt
-This camp culminates in a special family and friends performance of Frozen Jr.
Daily Activities
-Teamwork and imagination games, building the final presentation as an ensemble
-Learning scenes, music and choreography, practicing parts and lyrics
-Using formal stage skills during rehearsal
Skills Developed
-Theatrical skills: character development, musical performance, stage directions, character movement and choreography,
-Life Skills: following directions, confidence building, teamwork, and risk taking
-Strengthen motor skills through movement, learning rhythm and music
Final Presentation
-30-45 minute production of Frozen Jr. on a profession stage on June 15th in the BEHS Auditorium
Performance begins at 10:45am
Doors open at 10:30am
-Participants have individual roles, use memorized lines, and perform musical numbers
Cancellation Policy
-BEHS Theatre Department has the right to cancel a class 3 days prior to the start date. Refunds will be processed if a class is cancelled.
-No refunds available if purchaser drops the workshop, unless the spot can be filled from the waiting list. If a spot can be filled, a refund less a $10 administration fee will be given.
